Job Openings: Business Development Representative

Location of Position:Porter County
Salary:Competitive salary commensurate with experience
Days:Monday - Friday
Hours:8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Some early morning and evening hours required.

Duties:

  • Maintain positive growth in your market area.
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with both existing and non-members.
  • Report monthly on sales results.
  • Stay up to date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans.
  • Develop contact lists of potential new business relationships, members, dealers, or brokers in the credit union’s field of membership.
  • Contact and visit prospective members, commercial members, dealers, brokers, realtors, or business partners.
  • Reinforce the Credit Union’s mission, vision, and values by serving as a culture agent, motivating team members to achieve higher standards and promoting a commitment to excellence in service, and technology-driven products and processes.
  • Attends various meetings in the community and/or at trade associations to develop new business prospects and promote the credit union.
  • May make presentations on financial services to groups to promote credit union products.
  • Maintain an up-to-date contact tracking tool.
  • Analyze the methods that are successful in developing business. Analyze the products that best meet member needs.
  • Promote all products and services with cross-selling to meet member and business relationships.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a business development representative.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calls.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail for precise analysis of data.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and motivation to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Ability to work with teams and collaborate.
  • Time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge of CSM software is a plus.
